Lorenda Dodd Fitzwater, 91, passed away September 22, 2020 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Lorenda was born in the oil boom town of Webb, Oklahoma on August 15, 1929. She graduated from high school in Delaware, Oklahoma and received and an Associate of Arts degree from Coff. College of Arts. She was married to Leroy Fitzwater for 70 years until his death in 2018. Lorenda was a correspondent for the Nowata Star, wrote poems and short stories, as well as published a full-length novel. A devout member of the Church of God, she was responsible for sending Bibles to countries around the world. She was also involved in numerous charities as well as an avid stamp and coin collector.

Lorenda will be laid to rest beside her beloved Leroy at the Mt. Washington Cemetery in Lenapah,Okahoma in a private ceremony directed by Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory.
