Fitzwater, LeRoy, 87, passed away Saturday February 17, 2018 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

LeRoy was born September 1, 1930 in Shamrock, Oklahoma to parents Floyd and Daisy (Edingmer) Fitzwater. LeRoy married Lorenda Lee Dodd at the Delaware Methodist Church on October 17, 1948
LeRoy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. During the Korean War, LeRoy worked in the Maintenance Division, which fixed equipment and kept the machinery working properly and going during the war effort
LeRoy spent his career working for The National Parks Service as a Maintenance Supervisor. Throughout his long career he oversaw the maintenance operations of 5 different National Parks .
LeRoy was a lifelong blood donor for The Red Cross, a cause he was very devoted to.
LeRoy was a very religious man and was active in the Church of God. LeRoy and Lorenda had a large map of the world with little pins stuck all over it, representing each of the places they had sent Bibles to. LeRoy was as devoted to Lorenda as any husband ever was and remained so throughout the couples 70 years of marriage.

LeRoy is survived by Lorenda, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

As per his wishes, there will be a private interment in the Mt. Washington Cemetery in Lenepah, Oklahoma. Funeral Services under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory.
