STUMPFF FUNERAL HOME
BARTLESVILLE, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)

Ann Bowers, 86, of Lenapah, Oklahoma, died Saturday, January 16, 2021, at her home.

Ann was born September 15, 1934, to parents Harold and Velma (Chambers) Young, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated from Holy Family School, in Tulsa, in 1952. She married Johnnie Bowers on November 15, 1952 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. The couple owned and operated Bowers Oil Company from 1979 to 2019. She was a very hard worker and was very family oriented. Ann loved birds. She loved feeding and watching them. She could tell the family what each bird was, even when her eyesight was failing her. She had many, any bird feeders and often spent more money on the bird feed than she did her own groceries.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ginny Coffey.

She is survived by her husband, Johnnie, of the home; daughters Theresa Bowers, of Tulsa and Lisa Cook and husband Doug, of Lenapah; grandson J.D. Cook, of Fort Lupton, Colorado; brother-in-law Mel Coffey, of Sapulpa and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Friends may come to Stumpff Nowata Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 19 from 4pm to 8pm and sign the register book.

Private family services will be held at a later time at Mt. Washington Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations to the Lenapah Fire Department at P.O. Box 130 Lenapah, Oklahoma 74042 or any charity of your choice.
