(PERMISSION GRANTED)

Shelly Jo Beu, 42, of Nowata, OK, departed Earth for home on September 17th, 2020. She was born on April 6, 1978 to Danny Carl and Linnie Sue (Johnson) Beu in Tulsa, OK. Shelly was a lifelong resident of Nowata County, growing up in the Childers community.

Shelly attended Alluwe schools for primary, and Oklahoma Union Schools for her secondary education. While at Oklahoma Union, Shelly achieved the honor of Star Greenhand and State Chapter Farmer. Additionally, she showed lambs and steers at The Nowata County Livestock Show each year, one of her greatest pride and joys. Shelly Attended NEO in Miami, OK and Rogers State University in Claremore, OK, majoring in Ag Business.

Shelly never married, but had a commitment ceremony to Kelly Wallace in 2014.

Shelly lived with Spinocerebellar Ataxia for 2 decades of her life, while still managing to spread joy, love, humor, and her love for Jesus.

Shelly was a resident at the Osage Nursing Home in Nowata, OK for just over 10 years with her second family, the nurses and staff, who provided her the best care possible, and above all, love.

Shelly had the uncanny ability to engage anyone she came into contact with in small talk, even through her struggles. She inspired countless colleagues with her grit, determination, spunk, and optimism. To the very end, Shelly remained positive and kept fighting.

Shelly is preceded in death by her Grandpa Earl Douglas Johnson, Grandma Sue Jo Benson, Grandpa (Step) Doug Benson, Grandpa Edwin Eugene Beu, Uncle Edwin Beu, Aunt Sandy Tharp, and Cousin Shawn Johnson.

She is survived by her Mother and Father, Danny and Linnie Beu of Delaware, Sister Lindy Stewart and Brother-in-Law Mason of Tulsa, Brother AJ Beu and future Brother-in-Law Christopher Kurt of Wichita (KS), Grandma Betty Jo Beu of Vinita, four nieces and nephews: Dylan Hagebusch, Sierra Oboido, Saber Miller, Kutter Beu, their spouses, and a number of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and countless friends accumulated through her journey home.

We are asking that anyone that attends the visitation or graveside service, please wear a mask due to the current Covid 19 pandemic.
Thank you!
