Mary "Jo" Peoples, 70, of Delaware, died Wednesday at her home.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Hillside Christian Church with Cal Swickard and Ben Killion officiating.

Interment will follow at Ball Cemetery under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service of Nowata.

Memorials may be made to the 10-33 Emergency Team, 321 Cherokee, Nowata, OK 74048.

Survivors include her husband, George, of the home; a son, Michael, of Delaware; two sisters, Shirley Parris of Tulsa and Sherry Rowland-Smith of Tulsa; one grandson; a great-grandchild; and by several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for George Loyd Peoples were held  at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2012 at the Ball Cemetery with Ben Killion officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service. 
 
George Loyd Peoples was born on July 23, 1930 in Altamont, Kansas to Hal Timothy and Ethel Pearl (Miles) Peoples and passed away October 12, 2012 at his home in Nowata at the age of 82.
 
He grew up in the Alluwe area and graduated from Alluwe High School. 
For over 53 years, he was an over the road truck driver. He  married Jo Rowland in Tulsa Oklahoma on February 15, 1954. The couple  lived in Tulsa for a period of time before moving back to Delaware and later, Nowata. George  was a member of the Hillside Christian Church and liked to read.  
 
Survivors include a grandson, David Peoples; a great grandson, Kyle Peoples; a niece, Celeste Tolar; two brothers, Lewis Peoples and Hal Peoples; one sister, Dorothy Hiett, also his caretaker, Aliene Robertson. 

Preceding him in death were  his parents, Hal and Ethel Peoples, and his wife Jo Peoples.
