Joanna Young Warrior, 65, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on March 4, 2025. She entered this world on December 27, 1959, in Pawnee, OK, born to Joseph and Wanda (Stillwell) Young.

She was a Certified Nurse's Assistant and in her spare time she liked to work in her flower garden and made sure her house was spotless. But most of all, she enjoyed being a loving grandmother to her grandchildren Peanut, Nevin, and RaeAnna and loved them with all her heart.

Joanna could be described as one of the best due to her ability to take care of anyone who needed her without prejudice, and she had the biggest heart. No true words could describe her personality, but it was known she was a caring wife, loving grandmother, and the most understanding and supportive mother anyone could ever have. She was everything to her family and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her husband Otis Warrior; brothers, Joe Young III and Justin Young, her children, Otis Warrior Jr., Shannon Warrior, and Thompson Warrior; grandchildren, Thompson "Peanut" Warrior, Nevin Warrior, RaeAnna Warrior, Wanitta Lieb, and Autumn Lieb.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Wanda Young; sisters, Juanitta Young and Shane Riddle; and one brother, Jon Young.

Following the traditional noon feast and giveaway, funeral services will take place on Friday, March 7, 2025, 2 p.m., at the Otoe Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Kenner and Rev. Dr. Louis Headman officiating.

Interment will follow at the Otoe-Missouria Tribal Cemetery.
