Betty was born on July 15, 1928, as the third child of thirteen
children, to Elmer and May Porter.
She was married to Melvin Sturm. He passed away in 1984. She resided in
Enid, Oklahoma until 2013. She then moved back to Stillwater, Oklahoma.
While living in Enid, Betty worked at Security National Bank, and was a
member of the First Senior AMBUCS for 18 years.
She loved to bake cookies and play dominoes and card games with family
and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and May Porter; husband,
Melvin Sturm; sisters, Frankie Pittman, Zola Ferguson, and brother; Gene
Porter.
Betty is survived by her sisters, Georgia Tyson, Rosella Harris, Linda
Mullendore, Janie Venable, Barbara Michel; brothers, Dee Porter, Lloyd
Porter, Charles Porter, Pat Porter; and a host of nieces and nephews.
