Peggy Ruth Berry, also known as Mom, Grandma, and Gigi, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 18th, 2023, at the age of 92.
 

A graveside service will be held at McGuire Cemetery in Lucien, Oklahoma, Monday, October 23, 2023, at 2:00 PM, with Jeff Denton and Chris DelTorto officiating.

The family will greet friends on Saturday morning from 10:30am-12:30pm at Trout Funeral Home, 505 West Grand Avenue, Ponca City, OK 74601.
 

Peggy Ruth Berry was born on November 4, 1930, daughter of Julian E. Wells and Lorena M. Barkett in Perry, Oklahoma. She attended school in Perry and later worked as a nurse at the nursing home in Garber, Oklahoma.
 

Peggy married the love of her life, Billy Lon Berry, on October 8th, 1949, in Ponca City. Her real and abiding passions were her friends and family. She went wherever Billy's job took him, but her home was in Garber with her husband & kids. After retirement, they moved to Grand Lake, where they lived 27 wonderful years before moving back to Ponca City in 2006.
 

She enjoyed spending time with family, reading her “spicy” books, and spending time with her dog, Baby Girl. Peggy is greatly loved and will be greatly missed in the lives of many.
 

Peggy is survived by her two sons Bill Berry and his wife Trisha of Garber, Steve Berry and wife Remona of Ponca City: two daughters Linda DelTorto and Ron Thompson of Marietta, Chyrl Denton and husband Jeff of Ponca City. Nine grandchildren Kristy, Angie, Tish, Anthony, Chris, Crystal, Meracle, Kaylee, and Hope; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
 

She is proceeded in death by the love of her life Billy Lon Berry, her parents Julian E. Wells and Lorena, and one brother Elroy.
