Esther P. Addington, 90, of Lucien, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Perry Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Perry.

Visitation will be 9AM to 8PM Wednesday and Thursday, July 29th and 30th at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home in Perry.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 10AM at McGuire Cemetery in Lucien, Oklahoma with Rev. Don Knott officiating. Interment will immediately follow.

Pallbearers will be Derek Crane, Sam Russell, Matthew Jones, Joseph Russell, Nick Beckner, and Joe Russell. Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Hunt, Jory Stanley, Brett Williams, Tavis Beckner, Balen Williams, Wyatt Beckner, James Morefield, Logan Morefield, and Aaron Beckner.

Esther was born April 12, 1930 in Cameron, Texas to Edward and Bernice (Dodson) Peed. She graduated from Cameron High School in 1948. Esther and her husband Wendell enjoyed retirement by traveling the United States in their RV and were long-time members of the Good Sams Club. After Wendell’s passing, Esther traveled on several quilting–related cruises with friends. Esther was an avid quilter and seamstress; donating many items to the Bazaar at Lucien United Methodist Church and various other fund raisers. She was also a member of the Whipple Ladies Aide and the Friends of the Library in Perry. She enjoyed participating in monthly card parties at the Lucien Community Building.

Survivors include her seven children, Sherry Crane and husband Gene of Yukon, OK, John Russell and wife Pam of Washington state, Denise Hunt and husband Lynn of Lucien, OK, Becky Beckner and husband Virgil of Perry, OK, LeAnn Jones of LaGrange, TX, Bill Russell and wife Sue of Washington state, and Phillip Russell and wife Mary of Colleyville, TX; 13 Grandchildren, Derek Crane, Cara Crane, July Stanley, Shane Hunt, Kerry Holtz, Angie Russell, Nick Beckner, Aaron Beckner, Misty Beckner, Jennifer Williams, Matthew Jones, Katy Russell, and Joseph Russell; 14 great-grandchildren, Sydney Crane, Reena Crane, Sam Russell, James Morefield, Logan Morefield, Zoe Russell, Graysen Stanley, Taylor Stanley, Tavis Beckner, Madison DeLozier, Autumn Floyd, Balen Williams, Gracie Williams, Wyatt Beckner, and Nathan Jones; one great-great-grandchild, Wren Livingston; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wendell in December 2002; three sisters, Edna Lee Riley, Lora Anna Mortimer, and Helen Mclane; and one brother, William J. Wise.
