The funeral for Gene F. Bay, 96, of Perry, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church of Perry. The Rev. William Metz will officiate.

Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Dugger Funeral Home, Perry.

He was born southeast of Perry July 19, 1911, to Clarence Gilbert and Iva Myrtle Biggs Bay and died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at Green Valley Nursing Home.

He married Evelyn Anna Lampe June 3, 1934, in Perry. She died Jan. 6, 1989. He later married Deloris Marshall in July 1991, in Perry.

He served as Noble County district three commissioner for almost 14 years. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and Morrison Lions Club.

Surviving are one son, Wayne Bay of Edmond; two daughters, Phyllis Bonfy of Albert Lea, Minn., and Betty Hildebrand of Blackwell; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, one brother and one grandson.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, OK 73077, to Lutheran Hour or American Cancer Society.
