Earline Carpenter Strom, 96, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, at her home in Stillwater, surrounded by family.

A celebration of her life will be held Friday, February 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Stillwater Church of Christ. Those unable to attend the Funeral Ceremony, may attend virtually on the Trout Funeral Home website, www.troutfuneralhome.com and click on the live-stream or toolbar icon on the top right corner after 1:45 PM.

She will be laid to rest at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry beside her husband.

Earline was born March 1, 1929, in Erick, Oklahoma, to Chauncey and Loraine (Sparks) Carpenter and grew up on a farm near Mayfield. She graduated from Oklahoma A&M in 1950 and married William Dean Strom of Perry. She later earned a master’s degree in Art Education from Oklahoma State University in 1969 where she found her passion for clay arts and pottery.

Earline taught Home Economics for many years before becoming a master potter and founding Red Earth Pottery in Stillwater.

She is survived by her daughter Kaye Aulgur and husband Jim, son Mark Strom and wife Kim, daughter-in-law Tanna Strom, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, son Morris, her parents, and brothers Don and Stanley Carpenter.
