Pauline Bell (Anthis) Ward
February 12, 1927 ~ April 24, 2021

Pauline Bell Ward, 94, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 with her loving family at her side. She was born February 12, 1927 in Muskogee to Royal Noble and Nola Jean (Moore) Anthis. Pauline attended public schools and graduated from Oktaha High School with the class of 1945.

She attended Mountain View Baptist Church where she faithfully served in many areas of the church. She loved all babies and could not believe anyone would want to hurt one of them!

She also enjoyed bowling and was a proud member of the Oktaha Women's Club until it dissolved.

Pauline loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She was an amazing cook and made the most amazing pies and peanut butter fudge. She will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, mom, granny, and friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Royal and Nola Anthis; son, John Wayne Hutson; and great-granddaughter, Caitlin Smith.

Pauline is survived by her husband, Roy A. Ward; sons, Larry T. Hutson and wife Gayle; Robert J. Hutson and wife Royanne, all of Muskogee, Royal A. Ward of Tulsa, Jeffrey A. Ward and wife Alison of Oktaha; grandchildren, Crystal Graddy, Steve Hutson, Jill Hutson, John Hutson, Amy McBrien, Stacey Ward, and Robby Hutson; along with numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-8PM, Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home.

Funeral services celebrating Pauline's life will be 10AM, Friday, April 30, 2021 at Mountain View Baptist Church with her son, Pastor Jeff Ward officiating and assisted by Rev. Bill Crow. Interment will follow at Oktaha Cemetery with Steve Hutson, Robby Hutson, John Hutson, Ben Wilburn, Stacey Ward, and Warren Keith serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Mountain View Baptist Church.

Pauline's service will be livestreamed on Mountain View Baptist Church SBC facebook page and youtube.

The family requests donations can be made in Pauline's memory, to the Mountain View Baptist Church, Gospel Rescue Mission, or Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children.
