Dan Michael Robertson
November 10, 1942 ~ December 2, 2020

Dan Michael Robertson, 78, passed from this life to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 with his wife and daughers at his side. He was born November 10, 1942 in Poteau, Oklahoma, the first born son of Dan and Merle (Cross) Robertson. He was followed by two brothers, Joe Paul and Jamie.

Dan's family made their home in Wagoner, Oklahoma where he attended school from 1st grade till graduation in 1961. Dan received his BS degree from NSU.

On September 4, 1960, on her 16th birthday, he met the love of his life, Carolyn Donaldson. They married on June 1, 1962 and were married for 56 years, 6 months, and 1 day. They had 2 daughters, Kathy Howard and husband Tom, and Beth Todd and husband John.

In 1966, Dan trusted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He faithfully served the Lord for the rest of his life and attended EHBC for over 40 years where he served as a deacon.

He worked for DHS for 30 years, retiring in 2008.

He will always be remembered as a devoted husband and father. He loved his children and grandchildren and prayed for them daily. Dan was a quiet man, didn't say much, but he had great integrity and was steadfast in his beliefs and actions.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Carolyn; daughters, Kathy and Beth; his grandchildren, a source of great joy to him, Daniel and Michael Howard, and Garrett and Kate Todd. He is also survived by his brothers, Joe Paul, Jamie Robertson and wife Pam; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank their pastor, Darren Wallace, for his guidance and life changing influence. Also, special former pastor and wife, Bobby and Jeannette Smith for a lifetime of friendship; along with Stella Ward who assisted him in recovery when medical issues became insurmountable.

Dan is in Heaven and is free from many health problems. He fought a good fight and finished his course with dignity.
Dan's life will be celebrated at 2PM, Monday, December 7, 2020 at Eastern Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Darren Wallace and Rev. Bobby Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Funeral Services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Condolences may be made to the family online at http://www.cornerstoneofmuskogee.com.
