Edith Marie (Crow) Hammons
October 7, 1921 ~ October 9, 2008

Funeral services for Edith Marie (Crow) Hammons, 87, of Muskogee will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Conrad Barrett and Reverend Clyde Powell officiating. Pallbearers are Don Crow, Jim Greason, Anthony Greason, Jim Jackson, Lynn Crow and Josh Steel. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home.

Edith Marie Crow Hammons was born October 7, 1921 in Boynton, OK, the daughter of Bruce Crow and Lillie May (Carpenter) Crow and died October 9, 2008, two days after her 87th birthday in Muskogee.

She was meticulous and a perfectionist about everything. She was an avid steward of all that was hers. She accepted Christ as a young girl and she saw many of her family saved. She worked for a short while as a waitress, then she went to work for Corning Glass Company and later she worked for H.B. Egans Manufacturing Co.

Preceding her in death are her parents four brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include her daughter Glenda Gene Hill of Muskogee, OK; brother Pete Crow of Coweta, OK one sister Helen Cunningham of Muskogee, OK; three grandsons, Donald Boyd Hill, of Muskogee, Robert Kirby Kyle Hill of Ft. Gibson and Earl Ray Hanson Jr. of Ponca City and four great-grandchildren.
