August 14, 1947 ~ March 20, 2008

Funeral services for Boyd Wayne “Butch” Climer, 60, of Muskogee, OK, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at Bethel Christian Center with Brother Delbert Hawpe and Brother Allen Carver officiating. Pallbearers will be the American Legion Honor Guard. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamelle Holieway, OU National Champion; Stanley Nail, Troy Nail and Jerry Jordan. Burial will be in the Greenhill Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home.

Mr. Climer was born August 14, 1947 at Muskogee, OK, the son of Harold and Bessie (Mahoney) Climer and died Thursday, March 20, 2008 at his home.

On August 15, 1998 he married Barbara Davis in Greenbriar, AR.

During the Vietnam War he served his country in the U. S. Army.

He attended the Bethel Christian Center.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Climer of the home; daughter, Tonya Wilson and Mike Brady; son, Boyd Wayne Climber, Jr.; daughter, Mechele Hopson and fiancé’ Sony Cruz, all of Muskogee; son, Jeffrey and Kim Bookout of Okay; granddaughters, Shelby Wilson, Haylee Wilson both of Muskogee; Samantha Bookout, Bethany Bookout, Amber Mullin, all of Okay; grandson, Tyler Hopson of Muskogee; sisters, Jeannie Inman and Joe of Nowata, Brenda Windrix and J. W. of Muskogee; step-brother, Clayton Jones and Dee of Muskogee.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Boyd Climer in 1996; sister, Andy Talley in 2005; mother, Bessie B. Jones in 2006; brother-in-law, Scottie Crain, step-brothers, Mike Jones and Alvin Jones.
