Wanda Sue (Sagely) Ashwood
February 4, 1934 ~ June 3, 2020

Wanda Sue Ashwood, 86, a resident of Muskogee, passed from this world to be with her LORD Jesus Christ on Wednesday morning June 3rd, 2020. She was born February 4th, 1934 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was raised as an only child by Joe Guy Smith and Ruby Hicks-Smith.

Wanda married Harry Monroe Ashwood III in Ft. Smith, Arkansas May 28, 1952. They were married 64 years before his passing. Their love was amazing and truly modeled after Christ.

Wanda was a godly woman. She was a homemaker and faith, Harry and her children were her life. Wanda was active and present with all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren's lives.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, parents and daughter-in-law KayeLynn Ashwood.

She is survived by her daughters, Jolene Jobe and husband Allan, Diana Ward and husband Benny and Susan Hunt and husband Daniel; sons, Harry M. Ashwood IV, and Michael Ashwood and wife Rainey; grandchildren, Scot Jobe, Brian Jobe, Alicia Smith, Greg Ward, Sean Ward, Natalie Ashwood, Brittney Cash, Harry Ashwood V, Amelia Barr, Hunter Annett, Zachary Annett, Ashley Hunt, Tyler Hunt, Morgan Ashwood and Michael Ashwood Jr.; great grandchildren, Megan, Caleb, Alex, Christopher, Ciarra, Krystal, Alinka, Shaila, Patrick, Sarah, Kellory, Krista, Stephanie, Forrest, Bailey, John, Talon, Matthew, Luke, Holden, Hailey, Alexis, Madison, Harry VI, KayeLee, Amelia and Belson; and 11 great great grandchildren.

Pastor John Ashwood will officiate the graveside service at Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee, on June 10th, 2020 at 2 o'clock. The family will have visitation at Bradley Funeral Home Tuesday evening June 9th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Interment will be at Greenhill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harry Ashwood IV, Michael Ashwood Sr., Daniel Hunt, James Ashwood, Scot Jobe and Harry Ashwood V. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons Hunter, Tyler, Zachary, Michael Jr, Harry VI and son-in-law, Allan.

Harry Monroe Ashwood III, 84, a resident of Braggs, was taken from us to be with his LORD Jesus Christ on Thursday night, June 9, 2016. He was born April 15, 1932 south of Muskogee. He was the first of 8 children born to Harry Ashwood Jr. and Dorcas Scroggins-Ashwood.

Harry married Wanda Sue Sagely in Fort Smith, Arkansas on May 28, 1952. They just celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. Their love was amazing and truly modeled after Christ. Harry worked as a Foreman and Turret Operator at Corning Glass Works of Muskogee. When the plant closed he followed the job to Parkersburg, West Virginia in 1987. He left Corning with 37 years of service in 1989.

Harry was an avid hunter and fisher but more than that, he was very health conscience. Still running, hiking, biking and weight lifting. He always told his family when he passed, he hoped to be doing what he loved. He got his wish when he was running/hiking Thursday night. He was found on his property by two of his grandsons. His legacy is incredible. He was a family man, active and present with all his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents and brother, William Raymond Ashwood of Muskogee and daughter in law, KayeLynn Marley Ashwood of Tulsa.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Sue Sagely; daughters, Jolene Ashwood Jobe and husband Allan, Diana Ashwood Ward and husband Benny, Susan Elaine Ashwood Hunt and husband Daniel; sons, Harry Monroe Ashwood IV, and Michael Dale Ashwood and wife Rainey; sisters, Dorcas Mae (Sue) Click, and Kathryn Marie Ashwood Casey; brothers, Daniel L. (Buck) Ashwood Sr., John Thomas Ashwood Sr., Joseph Robert Ashwood, and James Richard Ashwood; grandchildren, Scot Allen Jobe, Joseph Brian Jobe, Alicia Dawn Jobe Schade, Gregory Roy Ward, Eric Ray Ward, Sean Edward Ward, Natalie Kaye Ashwood, Brittney Lynn Ashwood Cash, Harry Monroe Ashwood V, Amelia Ashwood Barr, Hunter Allen Arnett, Zachary Alexander Arnett, Ashley Danielle Hunt, Tyler Raymond Lee Hunt, Morgan Darlene Ashwood, and Michael Dale Ashwood Jr; great grandchildren, Megan, Alex, Christopher, Cierria, Krystal, Atinka, Shayla, Patrick, Sarah, Kellory, Krista, Stephanie, Forrest, Bailey, John, Talon, Matthew, Luke, Holden, Hailey, Alexis, Madison, Harry VI, KayeLee, and Amelia; and 9 great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Harry will be Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Bradley Belltower Chapel with Pastor John Ashwood officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with sons, Harry Ashwood IV, Michael Ashwood Sr., sons in law, Benny Ward, Daniel Hunt, and grandsons, Scot Jobe and Harry Ashwood V serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be life long friend, John Nickel and grandsons, Hunter, Tyler, Zachary, Michael Jr, and Harry VI.
