Pamela Sue (Ritzel) Williams

Pamela Sue (Ritzel) Williams
October 17, 1949 ~ September 18, 2025

Pamela Sue Williams, of Owasso, passed peacefully from this life on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the age of 75 years, 11 months, and 1 day.

Pam was born on October 17, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Howard Elmer Ritzel and Wanda Lee (Thompson) Ritzel. She spent her early years in Red Bud, Illinois, until the age of 12, and later continued her education in Waterloo, Illinois. Pam went on to attend Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, Missouri, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education.

While serving at the Baptist Student Center at SIU-Carbondale, Pam met David Ross Williams, who would become the love of her life. They were married and began their life together in Staunton, Illinois. There, Pam devoted herself to raising her family and lovingly operated an in-home daycare for 28 years, caring for and shaping the lives of countless children.

Pam’s greatest joys were her family and her faith. She faithfully served her Lord through her gifts of teaching children, playing both piano and organ, and pouring her energy into children’s and couples’ ministries. She had a gift for hospitality and loved to organize gatherings, parties, and events that brought people together.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, David Williams of Owasso; daughter Mandy Miles and husband Jeff of Owasso; brothers Tom Ritzel and wife Penny of Waterloo, Illinois, and Tim Ritzel and wife Sharon of Wentzville, Missouri; brother-in-law Chuck Williams and wife Marilyn of Rossville, Indiana; sister-in-law Patty VanderVeen and husband Rick of Newark, Texas; and three beloved grandchildren, Caleb, Carrie, and Abbie Miles of Owasso. She is also lovingly remembered by her nieces, Shari Hartman, Wendi Brown, Annie Bobbitt, Heather Heller, and Amy Eickelmann; and nephews, Bryan Ritzel, Josh Ritzel, Matt Ritzel, and Doug Williams.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Michael Williams.

Visitation will be held from 5:00–7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Dighton-Moore Funeral Service, 116 N. Main Street, Owasso, Oklahoma. A celebration of Pam’s life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 13307 E. 96th St. N., Owasso, Oklahoma. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.

Pam’s life was a reflection of love, service, and faith. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
