James Richard Shook, Jr.

June 24, 1947 ~ April 13, 2020

James Richard Shook, Jr. passed from this life on April 13, 2020 at the age of 72 in Terlton, OK. James was born on June 24, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA. James was the son of James Shook, Sr. and Helen Regina (Carroll). James graduated from Wilkensburg high school in Pittsburg, PA. James was united in marriage to Linda Kay Shook (Hill) on June 6, 1987 in Miami, OK. James owned the Film Processor Service company. In June of 1966 James enlisted in the Air Force working as a Lab specialist. During his military career he earned the rank of Sgt E4 before being released from active duty in April 1970.

James was a Pittsburg Steelers fan, he loved watching them play, watching TV and movies. Mysteries were his favorite. James also enjoyed working in the garden.

James is survived by his wife Linda Shook, his son, Thomas Shook of Kanpolis, North Carolina, Sister, Carol Borandi of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren Lucas and Gabriella, and was preceded in death by his father James Shook, Sr., and his mother Helen Carroll.

Interment was held on Friday, April 24th, 2020 at 11:00am at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson OK. Chapman-Black Funeral Home handled the arrangements. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for James at www.chapman-black.com.
