Betty Louise (Smith) Mullins

Aug. 4, 1937 ~ Sept. 23, 2012

Services for Betty Louise Mullins, 75, of Hulbert, will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Hulbert First Baptist Church, with Rev. Glenn Rowan officiating.

Pallbearers are Glenn Clark, Francis Nez, Scott Manus, Greg Bilby, Herbert Davis and Larry Rogers. Honorary pallbearers are Fred Geurin, Danny Bilby, Barney Manus, Jack Gritts and Albert McMahan.

Interment will follow in the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at tahlequahfuneral.com.

Betty Louise Mullins was born Aug. 4, 1937, in Bowling Green, Ky., to Jess Newton Smith and Holland B. (Hines) Smith. She passed away on Sept. 23, 2012, in Muskogee.

Betty's family would move to Oklahoma and would eventually settle in Miami where she would attend school and graduate.

She married Thomas Dale Mullins Sr., in Durant, on March 9, 1970. From this marriage came two children, Deanna and Tommy. When the children were old enough to attend school, Betty began working at Hulbert Public Schools, seeing her children through graduation there.

In 1991, she would begin a career as a cardiac monitor technician working at the Tahlequah City Hospital and Wagoner Community Hospital until retiring in 2006.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Holland Smith; mother- and father-in-law, George and Lorene Mullins; and brother-in-law, George Mullins.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Thomas Mulllins of the home; daughter, Deanna Hardbarger and husband Keith, of Hulbert, OK; son, and Tommy Mullins and wife Angie, also of Hulbert; six grandchildren, Tyler Mullins, Trevor Mullins, Troy Hardbarger, Joey Hardbarger, Jaylen Hardbarger, and Brandi Sawney; one great-granddaughter, Skylea Anderson; brother, Jim Smith and wife Donna, of Tulsa; sisters, Florene Brumley and husband, Lonnie, of Grove, and Tillie O'Kelley and husband Bill, of Florida; brother-in-law, Don Mullins of Arcadia, La.; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as many other friends and loved ones.
