Steven "Ray" Morrison

June 20, 1950 ~ April 04, 2008

A memorial service for Steven Morrison was held April 8, 2008 at the Mark Griffith Memorial Funeral Home, Westwood Chapel, in Tulsa with the Rev. Larry Westfall officiating.

Steven "Ray" Morrison was born 20 June 1950 and passed from this life on 4 April 2008 at the age of 57.

He graduated from Webster High School in 1968 and was one of their most outstanding wrestlers, receiving the highest athletic award, the Billy Don Walker award. He was the first person to receive the Ted Pierce Award.

Ray served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam conflict and retired from Sinclair Oil Refinery.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Deanna Morrison of the home; sons, Steven D. Morrison and wife, Kristin of Frisco, Texas, Michael Rider of Tulsa, and daughters, Lisa K. Church and husband, Mark of Brandon, Florida, and Sara Skaggs and husband, Bowie of Sapulpa.

Other survivors include his Father, Richard L. "Dick" Morrison and friend, Ruby Wooten of Tulsa and brother, Richard "Rick" Morrison and wife, Sharon of Tulsa.; grandchildren Kailin, Jake, Hunter, Caleb, Mark, Ella, and Corinne ; an aunt Loraine Jordan of Tulsa and uncle, Billy Morrison and wife, Joann of Peggs. and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

His mother Opal Marie Morrison preceded him in death. She was a great mother and a great wrestling fan.
