Jerry Lee Long, Sr.
April 25, 1943 ~ April 13, 2021

Jerry Lee Long Sr. son of Jimmie Sr. and Asa (Behen) Long Washington born April 25, 1943, in Claremore, Oklahoma and departed This life on April 13, 2021, in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 19 days. He attended Mounds High School, Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas (vocation: Baking) and Oklahoma State University Technical School (Maintenance Mechanic). He was employed for over 20 years at Kerr McGee/Sequoyah Fuels in Gore, Oklahoma.

Jerry loved life, playing/watching fast-pitch softball and he loved God and his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching OU football and softball and the Tahlequah Sequoyah athletes play basketball and softball. He was a cook in the Navy and he loved to cook and bake. He would gather his family together and cook for them. He loved their get togethers. He also enjoyed following his grandchildren around to their activities whatever they may be involved in. Jerry touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Annie Watashe; his brothers Jimmy Jr., Roy, Lawrence, Paul and Donald; and nephew Larry Long.

He is survived by a loving family which includes former spouse Gloria (Holden) Spybuck; his children Jerry Long Jr. of Tahlequah; Nikki Long of Ft. Gibson and Angela Leach and spouse Joe of Tahlequah; his grandchildren Mikko Leach and Marisa Hambleton; William "BJ" Leach; Erin Leach; Cianna Long and Jaide Long and fiancé Quez Allen; his great-grandchildren Major Leach, Maxon Leach and Aisa Long; nieces Paula Mintz and spouse Ron and Rhonda Long and cousins Mark Long; Keith Long and spouse Jen; and Chad Long and spouse Tonya and a host of friends.
