Virginia  E. “Ginger” (Hendricks) Knack
December 18, 1946 ~ August 25, 2014

Virginia “Ginger” E. Knack, 67, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Monday, August 25, 2014. She was born December 18, 1946 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Donn W. Hendricks and Doris (Sherwin) Hendricks. Ginger graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1965.

Ginger married the love of her life, Nicholas Knack, on Saint Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1966 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They shared over 46 years of marriage.

She worked many years as an Administrative Assistant for Dr. Susan Kennedy’s Dermatologist’s Office in Muskogee. Afterwards, Ginger worked as an Administrative Assistant for Hawkins Bros. Construction in Tulsa, Oklahoma for over 20 years until she retired in 2011.

She was a wonderful cook and baked fabulous, delicious cakes that her family all enjoyed. She loved to crochet, and cherished spending time with her granddaughters and her dog Sadie.

Ginger is preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Knack; parents; Donn and Doris Hendricks; and brother, Robert Hendricks.

She is survived by her son, Jeff Knack and wife Bobbi of Muskogee, OK; granddaughters, Mary and Leah Knack; sisters, Brenda Hosman, Donna Kidwell and husband Bill; brothers, Donn Hendricks, and Gerald Hendricks; sister-in-law, Sally Harriston and husband Ken; and numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Ginger will be greatly missed.

A memorial service for Ginger will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Rev. Cindy Culver officiating.

Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1830 North York Street, Muskogee, Oklahoma.
