Marie Clare (Smith) Kinser

Graveside services for Marie Kinser will be held on March 10, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM at the Christian Chapel Church with Reverend Conrad Barrett officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home.

Marie Clare Smith was the daughter of William and Lona Smith. She grew up in Muskogee most of her life.

On August 18, 1942 she married Howard Corwin Kinser. They were married for 64 wonderful years.

From this union, one child was born. The family lived in Odessa, Texas for 23 years. Howard was employed in the oil fields. Marie worked for the Odessa Public School System in the cafeteria. They moved back to Muskogee. in 1968. Marie again went to work for the school system in the cafeteria. She also worked at Consumers Pharmacy.

Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Lona Smith., husband Howard Kinser, a brother: Ted Smith, sisters: Nancy Crawford, Alice Florence, Leona Page, Minnie Bilyeu and Helen Knight.

Survivors include her son James Kinser and his wife Ann of Muskogee; one sister Wanda Reece of Muskogee; one brother William "Billy" Smith of Eufaula. Marie had many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
