TAHLEQUAH - Graveside services for J.W. Fatherree, 82, will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery, with Todd Drake officiating. Interment is under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.

J.W. was born the son of Clarence F. And Thelma Ann (Adcock) Fatheree on July 13, 1929, in Spencerville. He died on Feb. 17, 2012, in Talahina. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator maintaining and building roads.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Joyce Marie Fatherree; two children, Cherry Marie Fatherree and Scott Fatherree; and a brother, Charles Fatherree.

He is survived by children Patti Heustis (Wayne) of Little Rock, Ark., Wayne Fatherree (Peggy) of Spade Mountain in Adair County, Carolee Fatherree of Tahlequah, Bodi Fatherree (Connie) of Bunch, C.G. Fatherree (Coleta) of Stilwell, Michelle Bounds of Tahlequah, Crystal Fatherree of Little Rock, Teresa Warford of Rocky Mountain in Adair County, and David Fatherree (Kate) of Welling; siblings Merk Fatherree of Gilmer, Texas, Clarence Leon Fatherree of Big Sandy, Texas, Mildred Milligan of Odessa, Texas, Gene Bryce and Maxine Pierce, both of Oklahoma City, Willie Fatherree of Goliad, Texas, and Kirk Fatherree of Fort Smith, Ark.; 25 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
