James Edward Brown

Dec. 23, 1933 ~ Sept. 20, 2018

James E. Brown, age 84, passed away on Sept. 20, 2018 in Bellevue, NE surrounded by his devoted daughters and friends. He was born in Braggs, OK on Dec. 23, 1933 and married his high school sweetheart, Mary Lou Cooper on July 21, 1954. James served 27.5 years in the US Air Force. After retiring from military service, he worked for General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin, traveling all over the world.

Preceded in death by parents, Royden Brown and Iva Stafford; wife, Mary Lou; brother, Ron Ford. Survived by daughters, Angela Brown (Mike DeLost) of Omaha and Sherry (Don) Smith of Jamestown, NC; 5 brothers, 1 sister and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 25th at 2PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2210 Harlan Dr, Bellevue, Nebraska.

Committal prayers and interment will be held 2:00PM Friday, September 28, 2018 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery Pavilion, with Chaplain Nancy McCoy officiating. Military honors will be rendered.

The family of James Edward Brown has entrusted his care and committal service to Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home, Fort Gibson.
