Ray Sweeten, 54, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at his home.

He was born March 18, 1964 on a military base in Augsburg, Germany to R C and Phyllis Sweeten.

Ray was raised in Sulphur, Oklahoma and graduated with class of 1982 from Sulphur High School.  After graduation he moved to Wichita Falls, TX, later living in Colorado Springs, CO, Norman, OK and settling in Tecumseh where he has resided for the last 10 years.

He was a proud member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation and a member of the Shawnee Seventh-Day Adventist Church.  Ray was an avid OU Fan, loved classic cars, going to garage sales and meeting people.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Phyllis Sweeten of the home; 2 sisters and 1 brother-in-law, Sherry and Steve Osborn of Norman, OK and Vickie McDonald of McLoud, OK; 1 brother and 1 sister-in-law, Dale and Barbie Sweeten of Davis, OK; and many extended family and friends.

Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 13, 2018 at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sulphur, OK with Pastor Jim Landelius, Seventh Day Adventist Church in Shawnee officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
