Lillie Caudle Hilton

Lillie Caudle Hilton died Sunday in Shawnee at the age of 101.

She was born March 12, 1896, at St. Louis, Indian Territory, the daughter of Marcus Newton Caudle and Mary Elizabeth Cates Caudle. She married Robert Houston Hilton on Dec. 28, 1919, at St. Louis where they lived before moving to Healdton where they had a grocery and dry goods store. They moved to Sulphur and lived there for more than 20 years.

Mrs. Hilton had lived in Shawnee since 1985. She was a member of Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church, Sulphur.

Surviving are her daughter, Vada Firebaugh, Shawnee; sons, Gregg C. Hilton, Dillon, Mont.; William R. Hilton, Amarillo, Texas; sister, Lula Patterson, Sulphur; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1983.Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Clagg Funeral Chapel, Sulphur, Mike Hughes and Bill Huckaby officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery Sulphur.
