Sally S. Bright, a resident of Sulphur, OK, was born on April 17, 1945 in Arlington, Ohio to Maxine (Toornman) Rossman and Gerald Rossman. She passed away in Sulphur, OK on Tuesday December 11, 2018 at the age of 73 years.

She grew up in Durant, where she graduated from Durant High School. Sally was a graduate of South Eastern University in Durant. Sally was married to JB “Sonny” Bright on June 22, 1968 in Durant, OK and they spent their lives together until he preceded her in death on May 28, 2016. She taught 3rd grade at Sulphur Elementary School for 25 years before retiring. She also tutored several foreign students. Sally volunteered at the Ardmore Mercy Hospital for about 4 years and the Arbuckle Memorial Hospital for 3 years. She was a member of the Sulphur United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband JB “Sonny” Bright, she was also preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Maxine Rossman of Durant, OK, in laws Jack and Dovie Bright of Lone Grove, OK, and a sister Sandra Rossman Owens of Princeton, TX.

She is survived by her daughter Lori L. Bright of Sulphur, OK, one grandchild Vivianne Rose, and several loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 15, 2018 at the Sulphur United Methodist Church at 10:30 AM officiated by Pastor Jim Shepherd and Rev. Billy Staggs.

Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur, OK officiated by Pastor Brandon Twyford.

Visitation was held at DeArman Funeral Home of Sulphur on Friday December 14, 2018 from 5 to 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Sulphur Foundation for Excellence in Education or the Sulphur United Methodist Church. Services are under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Sulphur.
