IN MEMORY OF ROBERT SELBY ROBINSON 1913-1981
Robert Selby Robinson was born September 15th, 1931, in Cleveland, Oklahoma and died at age 67at his home in Watonga on Saturday, May 23rd, 1981, following a lengthy illness. He married Pauline Streetman on September 16th, 1933, in Cleveland. An oil field driller and roughneck, he moved to Watonga in 1966 from Hominy, Oklahoma. He also worked on pipelines before his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Pauline, of Watonga, Oklahoma; two sons: Jack L. Robinson of Watonga; and Tommy G. Robinson of Hominy; two daughters: Sue Downey of Watonga; and Patsy Owens of Hominy; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Leona Kenny of Salina, Kansas; and a brother, Hiram Robinson of Portersville, California. Two grandsons and one great-grandson preceded him in death. His parents, Mr. & Mrs. Dave Robinson also preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 27th, 1981 at the Hominy, Oklahoma Assembly of God Church with the Rev. K. E. Caughman and the Rev. Ray Hale officiating. Arrangements were made through Powell Funeral Home of Hominy for interment in the Albert Joseph Powell Memorial Cemetery, Hominy, Oklahoma.
