PARR, TANYA D. (DOBBS) 2002
Tanya D. Parr, 47, unexpected and accidentally slipped away from us at home on Tuesday, May 28th, 2002. She left us way too soon. She still had so much life, so much love, so much energy and so much care to share with so many people. Tanya was born and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and graduated from Western Kentucky University. Like many of us, she moved to Houston in the early 1980's and has called this home since. She's had a successful career, but what she's cared about most is her family. She and Steve married April 21st, 1990 at the Nassau Bay Hilton near Clear Lake. She is survived by husband Steve, two wonderful step-sons Adam and Ryan, mom-in-law Carol, dad-in-law Jack, brother and sister-in-laws David and Nancy and family sister and brother-in-laws Cheryl and George Washburn and family, and aunts, uncles and cousins-in-laws, primarily in the Cherokee, Oklahoma area. She is also survived by aunt Mary Lou Ennis and Dawn Ralston as well as Lisa Thomas, Julie Thurman, and Tina Denzik, primarily in the Louisville, Kentucky area. Also surviving is uncle Hollis Rickman and Kthy and Chip Arbegust in Louisville. Other survivors are aunt and uncle Deloris and Jame Burton, Rebecca Eliott, Martha Ream and Mary Farris, primarily in the Scottsville, Kentucky area. Tanya was preceded in death by her father, Willard Dobbs and mother, Ann Dobbs, both of Louisville. A memorial service was held at the Nassau Bay Hilton on Saturday, June 1st, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service was held at the First Baptist church in Cherokee, Oklahoma on Tuesday, June 4th, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ray Swift officiating. Burial followed at the Amorita Cemetery. Lanman Funeral Home of Cherokee is making all arrangements. We know you're with the Lord now Honey, but again, you left us way too soon. Memorials may be made in Tanya's name to First Baptist Church through Lanman Funeral Home. As printed in "the OKEENE RECORD", Thursday, June 6th, 2002, Okeene, Blaine County, Oklahoma, U.S.A. - 73763.
