Myrtle Prentice, 79, died Sunday, May 31st, 1981 in an Okeene nursing home. Graveside funeral services were held in the Fairview Cemetery on Wednesday, June 3rd, 1981 with the Rev. John Lawler officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Fairview Funeral Home. Miss Prentice was born November 26th, 1901 at Versailles, New York, the daughter of Elmer and Louise Prentice. She came as a young girl to Ponca City and moved to Fairview in the late 30's. She was a member of the Christian Church. Survivors include: a niece, Mrs. Phil Wilcox of Yukon, Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Rose Prentice of Arcadia, New York, and several cousins.
