PARVIN, LESTER MILLER 1920-2001
Lester Miller Parvin was born December 3, 1920 in Seay Township, Blaine County, Oklahoma to Leonard Alvin and Mary May Miller Parvin. He passed away on November 12, 2001 at Enid, Oklahoma. He was married to Ella Louise Peck on October 19, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He graduated from high school at Hitchcock, Oklahoma where he attended from first grade. He volunteered for the Navy on August 28, 1942, serving his country at Norman, Oklahoma, Alameda, Long Beach Terminal Island and San Diego, California, and New Orleans, Louisiana, and was discharged at Norman, Oklahoma on November 7, 1945, as AMM 3/c. He joined the Faubian United Methodist Church in Gladstone, Missouri in 1964 along with his wife and daughter. He lived in Gladstone, Missouri for 30 years before he and Ella Louise moved back to Watonga, Oklahoma in 1983 when they retired. They moved to Enid, Oklahoma in 1996. He leaves his wife, Ella Louise Parvin and daughter Anita Colleen Randolph of Jefferson City, Missouri; two brothers: Ray Parvin of Hitchcock; L. D. Parvin of Watonga, Oklahoma; and three sisters: Edna Wight of Enid, Oklahoma; Edith Young of Watonga, Oklahoma; and Juanita Smith of Nashotah, Wisconsin. A step granddaughter and one great step-grandson. He was preceded in death by his father in 1956, his mother in 1969, his brother Ralph in 1996 and sisters Mildred in 1996, Dora in 2000 and Leona in 2000. Graveside services, for Lester Parvin was held Friday, November 16, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at the Omega Cemetery in Omega, Oklahoma, with Rev. Rob Harris officiating. Arrangements were by Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga, Oklahoma. As printed in the "OKEENE RECORD", Thursday, November 22, 2001, Okeene, Blaine County, Oklahoma, 73763, U.S.A.
