PECHA, EDNA PEARL (BROWN) 1913-2002
A memorial service for Edna Pearl (Brown) Pecha, 89, was held on Saturday, July 27th, 2002 at the Community Bible Church in Goltry, Oklahoma. Pastor Dale Cummins officiated. Arrangements were by Lanman Funeral Home of Helena, Oklahoma. Edna was born east of Goltry to Evan Brown and Maude (Wayman) Brown on July 11th, 1913. She died July 18th, 2002 at Enid Senior Care in Enid, Oklahoma. She graduated from Goltry High school. On July 9th, 1939 she married Frank L. "Dutch" Pecha and they lived on a farm southeast of Goltry. After several years on the farm they moved into town. She was a homemaker and held various jobs in Goltry. Edna was best known for her sewing ability. She made everything from doll clothes to wedding dresses. She loved to work in her garden and do all types of crafts. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary, Altar Society and Lioness Club. She leaves four daughters: Janet Gardner of Lynchburg, Virginia; Jean Bamburg of Goltry, Oklahoma; Judy Kidwell of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Joyce and husband Mike Penquite of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents, her step-dad, and two brothers: Merle and Floyd Brown. Memorials may be made to the C. C. H. House of Community Bible Church or Hospice Circle of Love through Lanman Funeral Home of Helena. As printed in the "OKEENE RECORD" Thursday, August 1st, 2002, Okeene, Blaine County, Oklahoma.
