FUNERAL NOTICE - NUSZ, WOODROW CONARD 1919-1995
The funeral for Woodrow "Woodie" Nusz, 76, of Enid, will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev's Lucinda Holmes, Manuel Maceil and Charles Lynch officiating. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery in Okeene, Oklahoma under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. He was born on a farm south of Okeene, May 7, 1919 to Andrew J. and Kathrine Weber Nusz and passed away at his home Sunday, November 12, 1995 after a lengthy illness. Woodrow attended Okeene Schools. He served in the Army during World War II in the European Theater receiving the Purple Heart. On August 7, 1949 Woodrow married Bertha Louise Bartel at Okeene. The couple farmed in the Okeene area until 1975 when they move to Enid. He went to work for Garfield County in 1976. He retired as Road Supervisor in 1983. Woodrow was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Woodrow is survived by his wife, Bertha Louise of the home, one son, Randel and his wife Jane; two daughters: Connee Boeckman and her husband Donald, and Lorree Nusz. He was blessed with eight grandchildren: LaDonna, Nichole, Angela, Andrew, John, Erin, Jason, and Jarred. Also, five sisters: Delpha Slaght, Helen Baker, Ressie Nelson, Goldie Norvell and Beverly Nelson. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother. Memorials may be made through the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home to the National Kidney Foundation of Oklahoma.
