NAKVINDA, TED 1938-2002
Funeral service for Ted Nakvinda, 64, was Sunday, May 5th, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Followers of Christ Church near Ringwood with ministers Gary and Jim Wallace officiating. Burial followed in Square Cedar Cemetery near Cleo Springs, Oklahoma with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home of Helena. Ted was born on March 8th, 1938 in Cherokee, Oklahoma to Dewey and Lottie (Ream) Nakvinda and died May 3rd, 2002 at his home near Ringwood. He graduated from Cashion High School and entered the work force at Aerial Commander in Oklahoma City. On January 14th, 1961 he married Janetta Colleen Morris at Enid, Oklahoma. They moved to Lahoma and he worked at Vance Air Force Base as a sheet metal specialist and lead man before retiring in June of 2000. They have lived in the Ringwood area for the last 23 years. He was a member and minister of the Followers of Christ Church. He is survived by his wife, Janetta of the home; six children and their spouses: Troy and Stephanie Watkins of Cleo Springs, Oklahoma; Chris and Kim Nakvinda of Lahoma, Oklahoma; Eric and Jerrilynn Nakvinda of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Janell Hammand of Fairview, Cory and Mekay Nakvinda of Ringwood, Oklahoma; Ryan and Lori Nakvinda of Ringwood, Oklahoma; three brothers: Freddy of San Antonio, Texas; Ray and Danny of Enid, Oklahoma; three sisters: Mary and Judy of Lahoma, Oklahoma; and Patty of Enid, Oklahoma; sixteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant grandson. Memorials may be made to Followers of Christ Church through the funeral home.
