OKEENE - The funeral for Olive P. Nusz, 91, will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Zion Baptist Church, Okeene, with Pastor Tony Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery under direction of Sisson Funeral Home, Okeene. She was born December 27, 1904 in Hunter to David and Lenna Birdsall and died Friday, June 14, 1996 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas. She married Edward Nusz on August 22, 1922 in Watonga. She lived on a farm near Okeene from 1920 to 1965, when she moved into town. In 1994 she moved to Liberal, Kansas. She was a member of the Zion Baptist Church in Okeene. She is survived by; two daughters, Mrs. Calving (Betty) Smith of Hardesty, Naomi Singer of Liberal, Kansas; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son and one sister. Memorials may be given to the Zion Baptist Church, Building Fund.
