NUSS, GEORGE, our brother was born in Dobrinka, Russia on August 8, 1874 and passed away Monday morning July 1, 1935 at the Hospital in Hillsboro, Kansas after an operation. Brother Nuss was well known and respected in this community. He brought his to 60 years, 10 months and 24 days. As a child of 12 years, our brother immigrated with is parents and made his home in Marion County, Kansas. In 1902, he was united in marriage to Mary Ollenberger. This union was blessed with five children; of whom, two preceded their father in death. He was converted during a revival meeting and was baptized on his confession of faith by Rev. Theo Frey, uniting with the Baptist Church in Durham where he was a member at the time when he passed away. The deceased was a true father to his children and well liked in the church. Only too soon was his passing for us. Brother Nuss leaves to mourn his departure: his bereaved wife, three sons, Harry, Herbert, and LeRoy Nuss at Durham; four brothers and 2 sisters, Dave Nuss at Wilson, Kansas; Carl Nuss at Lehigh, Kansas; Henry Nuss at Newton, Kansas; Reinhardt Nuss at Wellington, Kansas; Mrs. Kate Walter at Wilson, Kansas; and Mrs. Ana Scippy at Wellington, Kansas. Besides two grandchildren and many friends, May the Lord bless the bereaved hearts. Rev. A. Sandow from Ebenezer Church and the local pastor spoke word of consolation to the congregation. Rev. L.
