LAUBACH, HANNAH (GREB) 1899-1926
Mrs. Hannah Laubach, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Greb, was born the 14th day of July, 1899, and died in the Okeene Masonic Hospital on December 29, 1926. The age was only 27 years, 5 months, and 15 days. The cause of her death was kidney trouble. "We mourn not even as others, who have no hope." In her youth she was converted to the Lord under the labors of the evangelist, Brother Schwenderner and was baptized by Rev. E. Graalman on the profession of her faith and became a member of the Baptist Church at Deep Creek. She was married to Herbert Laubach on the first of August, 1923. Their wedlock was a beautiful one. The union was blessed with two children. She suffered much in the last years and although all was done that could be done to relieve her suffering, which she bore patiently, death claimed her on Wednesday evening, December 29th, about 7 o'clock, to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, "Blessed are they, who die in the Lord." She leaves a sorrowful loving husband, two children, parents on both sides, brothers and sisters, and a host of relatives and friends. "May the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort be with them". The funeral services were held in the German Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. E. Graalman, Rev. C. F. Tiemann and Rev. Henry Rusch. The church was overflowing with relatives and friends. The casket was laden with beautiful flowers from loved ones and friends. The mixed choir and male choir sang appropriate hymns. Also a solo "There Is No Night There" by Miss Ruth Schlechter. Burial was in the Mennonite Brethren Cemetery. Brother C. F. Tiemann conducted the short service at the grave. "The Lord Gave, and the Lord hath taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord". As printed in the "OKEENE RECORD", January 7th, 1926, Okeene, Blaine County, Oklahoma, 73763, U.S.A.
