JANTZ, DONNA GERALDINE (ROUTH) 1918-2002
Funeral service for Donna Geraldine "Gerry" Jantz, 83, who died on Saturday, July 6th, 2002, at Great Plains Care Center in Helena, was held on Tuesday, July 9th, 2002 at the Community Bible Church in Goltry, Oklahoma at 10:00 a.m. with Dale Cummins and Carl Jantz officiating. Burial followed in Free Home Cemetery northwest of Ringwood, Oklahoma with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home of Helena, Oklahoma. Gerry was born on September 26th, 1918 at Driftwood, the daughter of Floyd Elsie and Geneva May (Cohoon) Routh. She graduated from Driftwood High School and on February 19th, 1939 she and Leonard O. Jantz were married at Driftwood. During their married life they lived in Cherokee, Carmen, Pawnee, Jennings, Ringwood, Lahoma and Goltry, Oklahoma. She was a hardworking housewife and had worked as a cook at Lahoma High School for a time. When she and Leonard moved to Goltry, they raised mink and she was very involved in this operation. She had attended Community Bible Church since 1991. Survivors include her husband, Leonard Jantz of Goltry; two daughters, Bonnie Winchester of Douglas, Oklahoma; and Connie Walton of El Dorado, Kansas; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. Memorials may be made to the Community Bible Church of Gideon's International through the funeral home.
