FUNERAL NOTICE - GEIS, HANNAH 1901-1990
Hannah was born May 26th, 1901, southeast of Okeene, Oklahoma to John and Katherine Laubach and passed away Wednesday, October 3rd, 1990 at the age of 89. She was a lifetime resident of the Okeene community, where she was a homemaker. Hannah attended country schools near Okeene. At an early age, she came to know Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. She was a very active member of the Zion Baptist Church, serving both as Sunday School teacher and superintendent of the Jr. Department. She sang in the church choir and belonged to the Women's Missionary Fellowship and always worked with the Vacation Bible School program. Hannah married William Geis, southeast of Okeene, on May 6th, 1920, and they were engaged in farming on Deep Creep until retirement in 1963, and moved into Okeene at this time. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, three brothers, and a sister. Hannah is survived by two sons and their wives: Weldon and Jane Geis; and Willis and Betty Geis, all of Okeene, Oklahoma; a daughter and son-in-law, Maxine and Gene Davidson of Waynoka, Oklahoma; four sisters: Bertha Geis of Okeene, Oklahoma; Lydia Ratkus of Torrence, California; Elise Hammer and Olivia Laubach, both of Enid, Oklahoma; four grandchildren: James and Carol Fielder of Belleview, Washington; Kennan Geis, Lynn Geis and Lori Geis, all of Okeene, Oklahoma; and two great grandchildren, Amy and Timothy Fielder of Belleview, Washington.
