GEIS, GENEVA "JANE" (BIERIG) 1925- 2000
Geneva "Jane" Geis was born June 28th, 1925 to John and Lydia Cornelson Bierig, and passed away Monday August 7th, 2000 at the age of 75. She was a resident of the Okeene community all of her life where she was a homemaker. She graduated from Okeene High School, was a member of the Zion Baptist Church, an active member in W.M.F. and was employed by the State Soil Conservation Service for 10 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Lydia Bierig, and her aunts and uncles. She is survived by her husband, Weldon, of the home in Okeene; one son, Kennan and wife Brenda of Okeene, Oklahoma; one brother: Duane Bierig and wife Judy along with their children Gary and Greg of Tyler, Texas. She is also survived by Irene Nusz who was like a sister to Jane, along with Irene's husband Virgil and their children, Sara Beth Till, Randy and Rodney, four grandchildren: Crystal, Carrie, Charity, and Chloe; as well as numerous other friends and relatives. Funeral services for Jane Geis will be Friday, August 11th, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at the Zion Baptist Church in Okeene, with Rev. Ken Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Cemetery in Okeene with Wilkinson Mortuary of Okeene in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Baptist Family Center in Okeene, the Okeene Hospital Foundation, or toward cancer research.
