FUNERAL NOTICE - GEIS, EZRA 1893-1968
A farmer in the Loyal-Hitchcock area all his life, Ezra Geis, 74, died at his home January 10th, 1968. Services were at 2 p.m. January 12th, 1968 at the Loyal Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Melvin Geis and Rev. Martin DeBoer officiating. Mrs. Emil Weber was pianist and Raymond Geis, Cherokee, Oklahoma, was soloist. Burial followed in the Immanuel Baptist Cemetery. Bearers were Kermit Geis, Eugene Weber, Milton Greb, Lloyd Brownsworth, Roy Lorenz and Willard Brownsworth. Keller & Landes Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Geis, son of George Peter and Kate Geis was born October 25, 1893 near Loyal. He was active in farming and community affairs and was a member of the Loyal Immanuel Baptist Church. He was united in marriage to Miss Mollie Greb, January 14th, 1919. She preceded him in death in May 1967. He is survived by three sons and one daughter: Calvin of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; Clarion of Hitchcock, Oklahoma; Don of Bethany, Oklahoma; Rocille of Burkburnette, Texas; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Sam of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; three sisters: Lenora Weber of Loyal, Oklahoma; Clara Greb of Isabella, Oklahoma; and Louise Herbel of Tampa, Kansas.
