IN MEMORY OF MARIE ENTZ 1899-1981
Marie Entz, 81 year-old former Hydro area resident, died at McAllen, Texas on Tuesday, May 26th, 1981. The funeral was held Saturday, May 30th, 1981 in the Bethel Mennonite Church at Hydro, Oklahoma, with Rev. Grant Noll officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Mennonite Cemetery southeast of Hydro under direction of the R. L. Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford, Oklahoma. Miss Entz was born in Kansas, October 2, 1899. She moved with her parents to a farm southeast of Hydro in December 1903. She grew up in that area and attended Mound Country School. She moved to McAllen in 1925 but later returned to Weatherford, where she attended the Southwestern State School of Nursing. She then returned to McAllen to continue her nurse training and obtained her degree there. She was in nursing until 1973 when she retired. She had lived with her sister in McAllen for the past four years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Survivors include four sisters: Anna Entz of Hydro, Oklahoma; Helen Lehmann of Geary, Oklahoma; Ella Millen of San Juan, Texas; and Esther Terveen of Donna, Texas; two brothers: John Entz of Hydro; and G. B. Entz of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and a number of nieces and nephews. As printed in the "WATONGA REPUBLICAN", Thursday, June 4th, 1981, Watonga, Blaine County, Oklahoma, U.S.A. - 73772.
