IN MEMORY OF VIRGIL LEON DeBAUN 1940-1981
Virgil Leon DeBaun, 41, died Friday night, May 29th, 1981 in the Okeene hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 2nd, 1981 in the First Church of the Nazarene, Watonga, Oklahoma. Burial was in the Watonga I.O.O.F. Cemetery. He was born May 1st, 1940 in New Madrid, Missouri and moved to New Mexico at the age of 13 with his family. He married Arlene Davis, May 10th, 1959 in Hagerman, New Mexico. They moved to Wichita, Kansas around 1961 and to Watonga in 1969. DeBaun, a welder, was employed at P & K Enterprises in Watonga. Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Davis and Shelly Wolfe, both of Watonga, Oklahoma; two sons: Troy DeBaun and Brian DeBaun of Weatherford, Oklahoma; his mother, Grace DeBaun of Watonga; two sisters, Mary Jo Persinger of Watonga and Dixie Williams of Galveston, Texas; three brothers, Maurice, Milton, and Larry DeBaun, all of Watonga and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his father last December and an infant sister and brother. Haigler Funeral Home of Canton was in charge of services.
