CRAWFORD, EDWARD E. 1867-1946
Edward E. Crawford, son of John and Sarah Crawford, was born Sept. 28, 1867, in Boone County, Illinois, and departed this life July 19, 1946. When a small child he moved with his parents to Newton, Kansas. At the age of 16 he moved to Stafford County, Kansas, where he grew to manhood. At the age of 18 he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with the United Brethren Church. He was a firm believer in the word of God and in the power of God to save and to keep. In the year of 1892 he was united in marriage to Clara E. Shelton and in 1894 he came to Oklahoma with his family in a covered wagon where he filed a homestead in Woods County, which later became Major County. He lived on his farm until 1943 when he moved to Fairview, Oklahoma. He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife and six children: O.S. Crawford of Wichita, Kansas, Roy of Kansas City, Missouri, Earl of Fairview, Oklahoma; Edna Cornell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Eldon of Enid, Oklahoma; Eileen Gosney of Orienta, Oklahoma; 25 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.
