BULLER, JOHN P. 1912-2002
Services for John P. Buller were held on Monday, July 15th, 2002 at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rusty Bonham officiating. Burial followed in Hooker Cemetery at Hooker, Oklahoma. John Buller was born on March 1st, 1912 to Jacob B. and Katherina (Heldebrecht) Buller, and passed away Friday, July 12th, 2002 at the age of 90. John married Rachel Osmus, July 29th, 1934 at Okeene, Oklahoma. She died May 26th, 1976. John then married Lenora N. Koehn-Androes on August 12th, 1976 at Hooker, Oklahoma. He was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Newton, Kansas. John held many jobs in his life including retail oil and gas, Beech Aircraft in Liberal, Kansas and most recently as a warehouseman for Allied Supermarkets in Liberal, Kansas. He retired in 1976. John served as a Sunday School superintendent, and past president and member of the St. John's Lutheran Church's Men's Club. John as often asked to sing in choirs, quartet's, and at many funerals. John loved to travel until his declining health did not allow this activity. He was very proud and took great pride in the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. He was all ready with an encouraging word or sage advice. He was preceded in death by wife, Rachel Buller; father, Jacob B. Buller; mother, Katherina Buller; son, Carol Buller; daughter, Elaine Buller; four brothers, and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Lenora Buller of Newton, Kansas; daughter, Carolyn Papen of Newton, Kansas; daughter, Meriam & Rich Zapor of Newton, Kansas; son, Howard J. and Sue Buller of Amarillo, Texas; five step-children and spouses, and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
