BAKER, EARL EUGENE 1927-2002
Earl Eugene Baker was born May 12th, 1927 at Okeene, Oklahoma to Jacob Earl and Roxie (Herod) Baker, and passed away Thursday, March 7th, 2002 at the age of 74. He was a resident of the Okeene community 74 years, where he was a farmer. He attended Okeene Public Schools and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was married to Barbara Fuller at Okeene, May 7th, 1959. He was proceeded in death by his parents, and one sister. He is survived by his wife Barbara of the home in Okeene, two sons, Alan and wife Colleen and two daughters of Williston, North Dakota; and Mark and wife Lisa and two sons of Seiling, Oklahoma. Also two daughters, Kim and husband Wayne and two daughters of Edmond, Oklahoma; and Karen and husband Neal and two daughters of Mulvane, Kansas. Also one brother, Earl Baker, Jr. and wife Doris of Broomfield, Colorado; two sisters, Alice Schnell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and Iola Chandler of Wichita Falls, Texas. He also has 8 grandchildren. Funeral services for Earl Eugene "Gene" Baker was held Monday, March 11th, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Okeene, Oklahoma with Dr. Travis Hart and D. Burchfiel officiating. Burial followed in the Collins Cemetery at Okeene with Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Okeene Whippet Boosters or the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
