A memorial service for Donald Bruce "Donnie" Blair II, 42, was held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 12, in the Chapel of Fairview Funeral Home Inc., the rev. Rich Redinger officiated. He was born May 29, 1959 in Oakland, California to Donald Bruce and Virginia Mae "Ginger" (Perkins) Blair and died Thursday, November 8, in University Hospital, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended elementary school in San Diego and moved with his family to Oklahoma City in 1971. He attended Fairview High School and Fairview Vo-Tech. On May 27, 1980 he married Susie Stevens in Fairview. He worked as a driller in the oilfield for various companies, including Suits Oil Company and Nabors Oil Company. Surviving are his wife, Connie of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; his father, Donald Bruce Blair, his mother and stepfather, Ginger and Richard Broomfield of Fairview; two sons, Dagan of Okeene and Dane of Wichita, Kansas; two sisters, Terrie Blair Shields and Jesse Mae Blair, both of Fairview. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Memorials may be made through the Funeral Home toward trust funds for his sons.
