HAMMER
Adair County lost a good citizen and citizenship lost a good friend in the death of J.B. "Bode" HAMMER who died at his home in the Chance community last Friday morning after a short illness with pneumonia.
He was 37 years old and of the immediate family leaves an aged mother, wife and three children, besides the other relatives and a large host of friends.
Mr. HAMMER was a good man, respected and admired by all who knew him and his death was mourned by all.
The funeral held at the New Hope church Sunday afternoon was attended by a large crown of mourning friends.

MORRIS
The death of Henry MORRIS of the Chance section which occured Saturday marks the passing of another pioneer and beloved citizen.
Mr. MORRIS was 71 years old and has spent the greater part of his life in the community in which he died.
He has been in failing health for the past several years.
The funeral was held Sunday and the body laid to rest in the New Hope cemetery.
He leaves a number of relatives and a large host of friends.
