YOUNG
Charles Raymond YOUNG, 74, a retired real estate dealer in Stilwell, died Tuesday in the Stilwell Municipal Hospital.
YOUNG, born May 10, 1896, in Waukomis, Oklahoma (Oklahoma Territory), is survived by: his wife, Mrs. Orpha Ruth YOUNG of the home in Stilwell; three sons, Charles R. YOUNG, Jr., Stilwell, Vernon L. YOUNG, Oklahoma City; and Wilbur YOUNG, Enid; two daughters, Evelyn CHARLES, Stilwell, and June BAKER, Belen, New Mexico; and three sisters, Elsie THORPE, Musa ASHBY and Grace DULICK.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Roberts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James HARDWICK officiating. Interment will be in the Stilwell City Cemetery.
KEETER
Services for Mrs. Patsy KEETER, 35, were conducted Tuesday from the Roberts Funeral Chapel, Westville, with the Rev. Herman ISAACS and Eugene BIBY officiating.
Mrs. KEETER, a native of Stilwell, was born March, 1935. She was the daughter of Raymond and Margaret WHERRY of Quincy, California. Other survivors besides her parents include: her husband, Bobby KEETER, and three children, Margaret, Mary and Mike, all of the home; three sisters, Janetta EVERSON, Milpitas, California, Deloris SMITH, South Lake Tahoe, California, and Velma BETTS, Walnut Creek, California.
Burial was in the Westville Cemetery.
BUZZARD
Tom BUZZARD, 73, a native of Oklahoma, died Saturday, January 2 at his home in the Bunch Community. BUZZARD was born April 21, 1897 in Oklahoma (Indian Territory).
Survivors include: one son, George BUZZARD, of the home; six nephews and three nieces. Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Bunch Methodist Church with Levi FLUTE and Alex RIDER officiating.
Interment in the Bunch Cemetery was under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home.
STARR
John Doyle STARR, B.M.C., U.S.N. (retired), a native of Stilwell, died Tuesday, December 29 at the Balboa Naval Hospital, San Diego, California, following an extended illness. STARR, who retired from the U.S. Navy in 1961, made his home in the San Diego area.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Lucille STARR, Imperial Beach; two daughters, Mary Ann STARR, LeMesa, California, and Mrs. Johnna ABOTT, Imperial Beach; one son, Tommy J. STARR, San Diego; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd STARR, Stilwell; two sisters, Mrs. Betty BARKER, Stilwell, and Mrs. Mary Belle DITMARS, Grandview, Washington; one brother, Frank STARR, Independence, Missouri; three step-brothers, Gene PALMER, Carbondale, Colorado, and Ralph and Fred PALMER, both of Eltopia, Washington; two step-sisters, Mrs. Ruby THORNTON, Stilwell, and Mrs. Opal STARR, Minturn, Colorado; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday, December 31, in Imperial Beach with interment in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, San Diego.


Thursday, February 4, 1971
LINDSEY
Leonard L. LINDSEY, 88, a former Stilwell resident, died January 17 in Frederick, it has been learned here.
LINDSEY had resided here with his daughter, Mrs. Lillian STEWART, now of the Titanic Community. He was born July 4, 1882, in Union County, Mississippi. Other survivors include nine other daughters, four sons, 218(??) grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
GATEWOOD
Mrs. C.B. (Cora Anna) GATEWOOD, 72, died Thursday, January 28, in the Tahlequah City Hospital.
Services were held Sunday in Tahlequah with interment in the Briggs Cemetery.
Mrs. GATEWOOD, a resident of the Briggs and Eldon Communities for about 35 years, was born March 12, 1898, in Missouri. She was a member of the Briggs Holiness Church.
Survivors include her husband of the home in Tahlequah; seven sons, Cecil , Tom, Jerry, Gene Johnnie Lee and Leroy and Bill GATEWOOD; two daughters, Florence SHEPHERD and Dorsey EDMONDSON; three brothers, two sisters, 35 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
BREWER
Mrs. Floyd R. (Grace) BREWER, 53 year old Marble City resident, died Thursday, January 28 in a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital after a short illness.
Mrs. BREWER, a native of Marble City; is survived by: her husband, her mother, three daughters, three sons, five brothers and six sisters, including Mrs. Taylor BEAVER of Stilwell; and nine grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday morning in Muskogee with interment in the Greenhill Cemetery.
